Will there be a fine for losing a military ID?

The TCC explained when the document can be reissued.
Накажут ли за утерю военного билета?

Conscripts must carefully preserve their military registration documents. Loss or intentional damage of these documents may result in administrative penalties.

This was reported by the Donetsk regional TCC and SP. The military enlistment office also explained the fines that may apply.

According to Article 211 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine, if a conscript, military liable individual, or reservist loses their military ticket due to negligent storage or intentional damage, they may face a fine ranging from 510 to 850 hryvnias (30-50 times the non-taxable minimum income of citizens).

For repeated violations during a special period, the fine increases to 850 to 1700 hryvnias (50-150 times the non-taxable minimum income of citizens).

A military registration document can be reissued in the following situations:

  • the military ticket is no longer suitable for further use;
  • damage or destruction of the military ticket during a natural disaster;
  • loss or theft of the military ticket;
  • change of surname, first name, or patronymic of the individual requiring data updates in the military ticket.

The TCC stated that to renew the military ticket, you need:

  • a statement/report indicating the circumstances of the military ticket loss and a request for reissuance;
  • a passport;
  • a 3x4 photo;
  • the damaged document or its remnants (if available);
  • an excerpt from the order on the results of the service investigation (if the document was lost);
  • a certificate from the police department stating the written report of the loss (if the document was stolen).

The military enlistment office noted that the document can only be reissued at the decision of the head of the TCC and SP.

Remember that an electronic military ticket can be generated using the "Reserv+" app or on the "Diya" portal. To create an electronic copy in "Reserv+", you need to:

  1. Log into the app and update your information.
  2. Find the document with the QR code by clicking on the three dots next to it.
  3. Select "Download PDF".
  4. Save the file to Google Drive, send it via email or messenger.
  5. If necessary, print the document.

"Diya" now also allows you to create an electronic military registration document, pulling data from the Register of Conscripts, Military Liable Individuals, and Reservists (Oberih).

Earlier, "Telegraph" reported on what to do if representatives of the TCC do not recognize documents in "Reserv+". The Ministry of Defense explained where to turn in such cases.
