Северная Корея направила помощь в Курскую область: последние новости и подробности.

North Korea has dispatched additional troops to the Kursk region of Russia. The scale of the military contingent remains unknown.

This information is reported by Reuters, citing intelligence and South Korean media. It is noted that the DPRK has sent military units to areas of combat in the Kursk region, where Russian forces are engaged in battles with Ukrainian troops.

At the same time, there have been no official comments from NIS yet.

Previously, NIS reported that North Korea had sent more than 11,000 soldiers to Russia to participate in the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian and Western experts assert that Russian troops have also utilized North Korean weaponry. However, North Korea has not officially acknowledged its military support for Russia in the Ukraine conflict.

According to data from the South Korean publication JoongAng, between January and February 2025, North Korea sent up to 3,000 servicemen to Russia. The transfer of troops was carried out using Russian cargo ships and military aircraft. Motorized infantry, engineering, and reconnaissance units were among those dispatched.

Recall that earlier "Telegraph" reported that the fighting in the Kursk region has been ongoing for six months and this operation by the Armed Forces of Ukraine has become unique. What was once deemed impossible has occurred, as the Armed Forces of Ukraine were able to seize a number of important border settlements with little resistance.
