On Monday, October 28, a temporary deterioration in air quality was recorded in Kyiv. In most areas of the capital, there is an increased concentration of dust.
According to SaveEcoBot, the highest level of pollution is observed in the Solomyanskyi district, specifically at 10 Mykola Shepelev Street. The pollution index stands at 164, which is considered harmful.
5A poor air quality situation is noted in Southern Borshchahivka. In the Teremky microdistrict, the air quality is also quite poor in some areas.
6 7A relatively high level of pollution was recorded on the left bank in the Darnytskyi district. The pollution level there is 130, which is harmful for sensitive groups.
Poor air quality is also observed in the Desnyanskyi and Dniprovskyi districts. Notably, a reading of 122 was recorded on Perova Boulevard.
8In the center of Kyiv, the air pollution level is elevated as well, with an index of 118.
9In some areas, safe air quality has been recorded in the Holosiivskyi and Pecherskyi districts, particularly on Science Avenue and Knyaziv Ostrozhskykh Street.
0There is also a temporary deterioration in air quality in Brovary. High pollution levels corresponding to harmful standards have been recorded.
1It is worth noting that Kyiv residents are demanding to stop the ecocide in Southern Borshchahivka. Locals are suffering from the activities of enterprises that pollute the air.
Residents are particularly concerned about the company LLC "ABZ-1," which produces asphalt at 49 May 9 Street. Consequently, they have created an electronic petition on the Kyiv City Council website.
Additionally, residents of Borshchahivka and surrounding areas report violations of the sanitary zone, rendering asphalt concrete production in this area illegal.
The petition highlights that the emission area covers a vast part of the district, including residential buildings, 5 kindergartens, 3 schools, and both children's and adult clinics.
In light of the identified violations of the sanitary zone and the exceeding of permissible limits for harmful emissions, the public is calling for a re-evaluation of the environmental impact assessment.
Earlier, "Telegraf" reported that the Kyiv Sea has catastrophically shrunk, with the water receding by hundreds of meters. Numerous shoals have appeared in the reservoir, and many islands are visible where there used to be water.
