The newly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, has arrived in Washington ahead of his inauguration. At the same time, Joe Biden's team is removing items from the White House.
This is reported by Associated Press. According to American media, Trump landed at Dulles Airport in the evening and then headed to the Trump Sterling golf club for scheduled evening celebrations and fireworks.
The "new-old" President of the United States did not answer questions from the media representatives but paused to wave to the journalists.
Photos and videos of the events in Washington have also surfaced online.
It is worth noting that at the time of the inauguration, the 78-year-old Trump will be the oldest president in U.S. history to take office. He will also be the second leader in the country’s history to return to the Oval Office after a break — a feat accomplished only by Grover Cleveland.
Attending Trump's inauguration ceremony will be Joe Biden and his wife Jill, along with Trump and Biden's predecessors as U.S. presidents: Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, respectively.
