The Russian occupying forces have lost yet another ship "out of the blue" – the patrol vessel "Rasul Gamzatov" of project 22460, which belonged to the border guard of the FSB of the Russian Federation.
As confirmed by Defense Express from its own sources, the ship was damaged while navigating internal waters (Volga-Don Canal) from the Caspian Sea to the Sea of Azov.
It is known that the tugboat that was transporting this patrol vessel damaged elements of the ship's propeller-rudder group – the left shaft line was incapacitated and the blade of the left propeller was bent.
It will not be easy for the Russians to quickly repair this ship due to their usual issue – a lack of spare parts for the necessary repairs.
As of April 21, the ship was located in the port of Azov in the Rostov region. Interestingly, this ship was commissioned by the Russians only on November 30, 2021 – it served for less than 5 months.
Earlier, Defense Express reported that journalists showed which Russian ships might follow the sunken "Moskva".
