The German government has updated the list of weapons that have been transferred to Ukraine, as well as the list of newly contracted armaments. The last update was on December 23, which includes items that have reinforced defense capabilities over the past three weeks and were additionally ordered.
Notably, the lists include several new types of weaponry that had not been provided before, along with significant surprises. In particular, the list of transferred weapons includes:
- 20 unnamed MRAPs
- 14,000 155mm shells, 19,000 122mm shells, 6,000 120mm mortar bombs, and ammunition for Leopard 1
- 600 HF-1 strike drones
- 50 Vector reconnaissance UAVs, 46 RQ-35 Heidrun, 43 Songbird
- 495 HK 416 assault rifles
- body armor, medical equipment, binoculars, etc.
Attention can be drawn to the 122mm artillery shells in this list, surprisingly. Their transfer by Germany indicates that the country has located stocks or production capabilities for Soviet-type shells and has procured them for Ukraine.
This marks the first time Germany has provided such shells, along with the HF-1 strike drones from Helsing and the HK 416 assault rifles.
Additionally, during this time, the following have been ordered:
- 18 more RCH-155 self-propelled howitzers
- 9 AiTO30 FDC - anti-aircraft vehicles based on Boxer for the protection of RCH-155 self-propelled howitzers, variations of RCT30
- 277 new unnamed MRAPs
- 5 Marder infantry fighting vehicles
Let us remind you that the transfer of the first wheeled self-propelled artillery unit RCH-155 to Ukraine took place on January 13.
