What will happen to subsidies in 2025: what new developments to expect.
In January, support for Ukrainians will continue through various types of subsidies. Specifically, from January 29, 2025, applications will be accepted for the rent subsidy for internally displaced persons.
Rent Subsidy for IDPs
The project has been expanded to cover the entire territory of Ukraine. To qualify for this subsidy, one must have an official rental agreement, which needs to be registered with the Pension Fund. Importantly, landlords will also have the option to cover part of the taxes.
The rent subsidy will be granted to those for whom the cost of housing represents 20% of the family income. This type of subsidy can be received simultaneously with the standard housing subsidy.
Subsidy for Housing and Communal Services
In January, the issuance of subsidies for the heating season will continue — it will end on April 30. When submitting documents in January, assistance will be granted from the month when the person applied. The income for January includes the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2024, and for pensioners, it includes November. Those who can apply for a subsidy include:
- IDPs without a rental agreement,
- IDPs with a rental agreement,
- tenants in any region of Ukraine,
- registered individuals,
- individual builders.
The amount of subsidies is calculated based on the income of the family. Moreover, the subsidy amount will not decrease if there are interruptions in electricity supply, as the coverage percentage is based on social standards.
It is also noteworthy that the increased amount for one-time expenses continues to be taken into account — a maximum of 100,000 UAH can be spent. If a power-generating installation was purchased, the amount increases to 150,000 UAH for one-time expenses.
