It may reach Moscow, but... A military expert has identified an issue with the "Trembita" missile.

The low cost of the rocket enables a significant increase in its production.
Достигнет Москвы, но… Военный эксперт обозначил проблему ракеты "Трембита".

The long-range Ukrainian “Trembita” rockets can cost around $3,000, which allows for scaling up their production. Additionally, increasing the fuel tank capacity could extend their range to 500 km, sufficient for strikes on Moscow.

This was stated by retired Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military expert, and flight instructor Roman Svitan during a broadcast on “24 Channel”.

According to him, the technology of the pulse jet engine used in “Trembita” has been around for nearly a century and was previously utilized by the Nazis in the “V-1” flying bombs during World War II.

— The engine itself, due to its low cost, reduces the overall expense of the entire missile. In other words, a very expensive turbojet engine can account for about half the cost of the missile, whereas a cheaper engine significantly lowers costs. Further increases in the missile's price occur only due to the warhead or guidance system. In “decoy” mode, the missile could cost as little as $3,000, — stated the military expert.

He added that if a control system and munitions are added, the missile's price could rise to $10,000 to $15,000. These figures are very favorable since the financial aspect of the issue is also crucial for us, as it allows for the scaling of “Trembita” production.

— The missiles can perform well due to the munitions. Yes, the current range is 200 kilometers, but by increasing the fuel tanks (not even the engine power) and adjusting the missile's design, it is feasible to reach Moscow; thus, 500 kilometers is no problem for such a missile, — noted the aviation expert.

He emphasized that the engine can operate nearly indefinitely, depending on the amount of fuel, meaning that the missile could reach the capital of the aggressor country.

— Probably, the Russians will be more disturbed by the noise of the engine than by the missile itself, — pointed out Roman Svitan regarding the “Trembita”’s drawback. — This is one of our pre-production developments that I believe will start to demonstrate its capabilities soon.

We remind you that earlier “Telegraph” reported that the “Trembita” rocket was developed to destroy enemy air defense.
