Quite severe frosts will persist in Kyiv until February 13, after which a brief warming is expected. However, by Saturday, the cold will return. Snow is also anticipated by the end of the week.
Additionally, according to forecasters from Meteofor, fresh gusts of wind are expected in the capital on Friday and Saturday. The wind speed may reach 9 m/s.
On the night of Thursday, February 13, temperatures will drop to the week's maximum lows of -11 degrees. During the day, however, only -1 degree is expected. Besides the frosts, fog is anticipated in the city in the morning, and the sky will remain mostly clear throughout the day. The highest wind gusts are forecasted for the beginning of the second half of the day — a mild 4 m/s.
The last working day of the week, February 14, is expected to be cloudy, snowy, and frosty. Precipitation in the form of snow mixed with rain is predicted during the second half of the day. Temperatures will drop to -1 degree during the day and to -6 degrees at night. The strongest gusts of wind are anticipated in the evening — fresh 8 m/s.
Saturday, February 15, will also be overcast, frosty, and slightly snowy. Light precipitation is only expected in the evening. Daytime temperatures will fall to -5 degrees, while nighttime will be a bit warmer at -2 degrees. A fresh wind will blow during the night to midday — up to 9 m/s.
