Do young people want to fight? How many Ukrainians have already applied for the "Contract 18-24"?

Over 10,000 applications from youth have been recorded in the "Reserve+" app. Men aged 18-24 are eager to voluntarily sign a one-year contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was announced by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Dmitry Lazutkin, during a television marathon broadcast.

"We usually do not disclose such confidential information, but we can say that there are over 10,000 applications registered in the 'Reserve+' app," – said Lazutkin.

According to him, applications for the "Contract 18-24" can be submitted via "Reserve+" either through the website 18-24.army.gov.ua or the hotline of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

"The 'Reserve+' app is not the only 'entry point', so to speak, into this 'perimeter', as there is also the possibility to enlist directly in the brigades, a recruitment center, and the website '18-24'. In other words, there are several ways to access this contract," — the representative of the Ministry of Defense added.

It is worth noting that recently, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the one-year 'Contract 18-24'. Young men aged 18 to 24 can sign it. The state offers these volunteers numerous benefits: one million hryvnias, interest-free mortgages, and a social package. The contract includes exclusively combat positions, such as rifleman, grenade launcher, and scout. Training will last over 80 days. Additionally, men serving in the military who are under 25 years old can also receive these funds.
