In Dnipropetrovsk region, a hostile agent was apprehended for directing airstrikes against Ukrainian defenders.

The Security Service has thwarted new attempts by the FSB to expand its agent network in the Donetsk region. According to the results of counter-sabotage operations in the frontline areas of the region, an enemy agent was detained who was directing Russian fire against Ukrainian defenders. This information comes from "Izvestno" citing the press service of the SBU.

Based on the case materials, a 47-year-old resident of the village of Dachnoe was guiding Russian airstrikes on the locations of the Defense Forces in the Pokrovsk direction.

The targets of the Russians included electronic warfare stations and artillery positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which provide cover for the frontline infantry units of the Ukrainian army.

To gather information, the woman independently scouted the area near the line of combat and recorded the coordinates of potential targets.

She sent the gathered information via messenger to her Russian handler in the form of text messages in an anonymous chat.

Feeling the inevitability of punishment, the traitor fled to Dnipropetrovsk region, where she attempted to "lie low." However, the SBU counterintelligence tracked her location and detained her in a rented house.

SBU investigators informed her of the suspicion under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed under martial law).

The perpetrator is currently in custody. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
