Residents of Dnipropetrovsk region were just 300 meters away from fleeing Ukraine.

Two residents of Pavlohrad attempted to cross the border outside of official checkpoints in the area under the jurisdiction of the "Luzhanka" department of the Mukachevo squad, but were apprehended, as reported by "Vidomo" citing the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (GPSU).

The violators were detected using remote surveillance tools. Upon noticing law enforcement, the men tried to flee, prompting the border guards to fire several warning shots.

The detainees were 24-year-old residents of Pavlohrad. They had independently charted a route to bypass the official checkpoints; however, their plans were thwarted by the border patrol just 300 meters from the border.

Both young men were issued protocols under Article 185-10 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (KUAO) and Part 2 of Article 204-1 of the KUAO. Additionally, one of the detainees lacked identification documents, leading to an additional protocol being drafted against him under Part 1 of Article 202 of the KUAO.
