Some men must complete their military medical examination before February.

Citizens who previously held the status of "limited fitness" are required to undergo a repeat military-medical commission (VMC). This obligation applies to all men, regardless of whether they underwent a medical examination before May 18, 2024.

The law №3621-ІХ, which came into effect on May 4, 2024, abolished the "limited fitness" status and established new criteria for assessing suitability for military service. The document also set a 9-month deadline for military personnel affected by this to undergo a repeat medical examination.

Thus, "limited fitness" men must complete the VMC by February 5, 2025.

New Fitness Statuses

Following the adoption of the amendments, the following statuses are now relevant:

• fit for military service;
• fit for service in supply military units, TCK and SP, higher military educational institutions and establishments;
• temporarily unfit, requiring treatment, leave, or discharge;
• unfit with a review in 6-12 months;
• completely unfit for military service.

We remind you that the function allowing individuals to receive an electronic referral for the military-medical commission through the "Reserve+" application will be available until the end of February next year.

Military personnel will be able to obtain a referral in electronic format through "Reserve+" without visiting the TCK. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

"The corresponding mechanism should be developed by the end of February 2025," the statement said.

Decisions regarding the VMC are planned to be sent electronically to the information and communication systems of the Ministry of Defense, specifically the "Oberih" registry, rather than in paper form to the TCK.
