В Кривом Роге подожгли автобус волонтеров: двоим подросткам назначили условное наказание.

The court proceedings regarding the arson of a volunteer vehicle in Kryvyi Rih have concluded. Two juvenile offenders, found guilty of destroying a vehicle intended for the needs of the Ukrainian army, have been sentenced to two years of probation supervision. This was reported by "Vydomo" citing "Dnipr.Info".

Details of the case indicate that the teenagers intentionally set fire to the vehicle, mistakenly believing it belonged to the military. In reality, the vehicle was a volunteer van, meticulously prepared for deployment to the front lines, filled with humanitarian aid and essential supplies for the soldiers. The actions of the teenagers resulted in the complete destruction of the vehicle, causing significant financial damage to the volunteer organization. The estimated damage, determined during the investigation, exceeded 18,500 hryvnias, which the convicted individuals are required to fully compensate.

The investigation quickly identified the offenders. The evidence collected was compelling enough to bring charges against them. During the court proceedings, the teenagers admitted their guilt. It is worth noting that under Ukrainian law, more severe penalties, including imprisonment, are prescribed for such crimes. However, considering the young age of the defendants and mitigating circumstances, the court decided on probation supervision.
