A sudden drop in temperature will follow the warming: when will Kyiv experience a freeze?

On January 3rd, Kyiv will still experience positive temperatures, but by the weekend, significant frost is expected to arrive in the city. Occasional precipitation in the form of snow and rain is also forecasted.

The coldest day among these three is anticipated to be Sunday, when nighttime temperatures will drop to -4 degrees. This information was reported by Sinoptik.

The sun may briefly peek through the clouds during the day on Friday, January 3rd. Light wet snow will start at night and continue through the morning. During the day, the snow will change to light rain, which should cease by evening. The daytime temperature will rise to +6 degrees, while nighttime temperatures will be around -1 degree. Wind speed will not exceed a gentle 2 m/s on this day.

Saturday, January 4th, will bring more cloud cover and further cooling. No precipitation is expected. Daytime temperatures will be around 0 degrees, dropping to -2 degrees at night. The strongest wind gusts are expected during the day, reaching a mild 5 m/s.

The following day, January 5th, is also anticipated to be cloudy and frosty. Meteorologists do not predict rain or snow for this day. Daytime temperatures will cool to -1 degree, while nighttime temperatures will drop to -4 degrees. Maximum wind gusts will be light at 3 m/s during the day.
