A court trial is set to take place in Kryvyi Rih against a fraudster who managed to deceive people out of approximately 2 million hryvnias. The scammer sold non-existent goods. For an entire year, this individual, who had previously faced legal issues, created fake websites showcasing attractive photos and detailed descriptions of various products. This information was reported by "Vydomo" citing the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Among the items the detained offered to victims were electronics, household appliances, clothing, and other sought-after goods. After potential customers transferred money for the desired products, he failed to deliver them and quickly cut off all communication with the victims.

As a result of his actions, 71 citizens of Ukraine fell victim to the scam, having trusted the fraudster. Law enforcement officials identified the criminal as a 38-year-old resident of Kryvyi Rih, who had previously been convicted of property crimes.

The man has officially been charged under part 2 of article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to fraud. The case has already been forwarded to court, where the scammer will have to answer for his actions.
