In the sky over Ukraine, yet again, a mysterious passenger plane has been spotted crossing the closed airspace. This time, the civilian airliner may have flown directly over the temporarily occupied territory.
According to the Flightradar24 service, on January 24, an airliner from the Belarusian airline "Belavia" was observed in Ukraine's airspace. Its flight was recorded over the Donetsk region.
Flight BRU736 with the number B2736E195 took off from Tbilisi and was heading to Minsk, where it landed at 07:10. During the three and a half hours of flight, the aircraft, according to the map, crossed the closed airspace of Ukraine and flew over the Donetsk region, specifically over the city of Lyman.
Due to Russia's military invasion, Ukraine's airspace is closed to civilian aviation. Airplanes are forced to detour around the country to avoid the risk of being shot down.
However, tracking systems often show passenger planes over Ukraine. This may be caused by deliberate distortion of aircraft coordinates, technical issues with ground stations, GPS signal interference, electronic warfare operations, or errors in data processing by monitoring services.
Recall that earlier "Telegraph" reported that passenger planes were spotted in the sky over the Odesa region. The aircraft belong to different airlines.
