Russia won't transform into a different country after the war: Yusov explains what to expect from the Kremlin's political agenda.

Russian intelligence agencies are exploring various scenarios for the unfolding of events.
После войны Россия не изменится: Юсов рассказал, чего ожидать от политики Кремля в будущем.

The end of the war against Ukraine is not a priority for Russian President Vladimir Putin. Even if the active phase of hostilities ceases, the Russian Federation will continue to utilize tools of hybrid warfare, warned representative of Ukraine's GUR MO, Andriy Yusov.

He shared this in an interview with "24 Channel." Yusov noted that the Russian economy is experiencing the repercussions of the war, which will become more pronounced in the second half of 2025. Some issues within the Russian economy are already difficult to conceal, even for propaganda purposes.

"It is also true that the strategic objectives and desires of Putin's Russia regarding Ukraine have not changed. This genocidal war continues with the same goals, namely, the struggle against Ukraine as a nation, against the state, against the very existence of Ukraine," Yusov stated.

The GUR representative added that Russian intelligence services are considering various scenarios for future developments, including the continuation of the fight against Ukraine even after the cessation of active hostilities.

"Ukraine understands this very well. It is certainly not realistic to say that Russia will disappear tomorrow or suddenly become a friend," Yusov said.

What will Russia do if the hot phase of the war ends

To understand what Russia might do following a potential end to the war, he referred to its actions prior to 2014 and especially after that. It involves the tools of hybrid warfare: information-psychological operations, special active measures, and sabotage. Yusov asserts that we should certainly expect attempts to expand the network of agents and recruit new operatives.

"In the future, there may likely be attempts to utilize the tools that Russian propaganda and intelligence services have employed all this time. After all, they are not abandoning these tools even now," he concluded.

As reported by "Telegraph," U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the U.S. and Russia will conduct negotiations regarding possible concessions from Moscow to end the war in Ukraine. He mentioned this while explaining why Washington voted against the UN resolution condemning Russian aggression.
