On Monday, February 17, Russians attacked Ukraine with "Shahed" drones. Explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia as enemy forces deployed ten strike drones.

This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Ivan Fedorov, on Telegram. He showed the aftermath of the attack.

Fedorov noted that the occupiers launched 10 UAVs at Zaporizhzhia. The explosions in the city occurred around two o'clock in the morning.

"The blast wave damaged warehouse facilities, and fires broke out. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties," — stated the head of the Regional State Administration.

Explosions in Zaporizhzhia — what we know

In the vicinity of Zaporizhzhia city, explosions were heard during the night of February 17. Air defense forces and resources are actively engaged in response to yet another enemy attack.

Fedorov informed that combat operations are underway to repel the air assault in the region. He urged local residents to remain in shelters until the alarm is lifted.

"Our air defense is operational. Stay safe until the all-clear," — the head of the Regional State Administration stated in a Telegram post.

By approximately 03:54, reports emerged of explosions audible in the city of Zaporizhzhia.

Later, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration reported a fire resulting from the enemy airstrike. It occurred in an uninhabited building, and preliminary information suggests there were no casualties.

Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that in the Krasnodar Krai region of Russia, it was very loud on the night of February 17 — explosions were heard in the region due to a drone attack. The target of the attack may have been the Ilysky Oil Refinery in the settlement of Severskaya, which had already suffered drone strikes earlier.
