Six knife stabs over a duel victory: a chess tournament in Kamensky ended with hospitalization.

In Kamensky, the winner of a friendly chess match became a victim of an unexpected and brutal attack by his opponent. This was reported by "Vidomo," citing the head of the Kamensky station of the regional Center for Emergency Medical Assistance and Disaster Medicine, Larisa Bydantseva.

At 23:01, a call was received at the central operational dispatch regarding a man with a knife wound. An ambulance team was dispatched immediately. Upon arrival at the scene, medics found the injured man with six stab wounds to the abdomen.

The investigation revealed that the tragic incident occurred after a friendly meeting between two acquaintances, who, while celebrating an event, decided to spend time playing chess. The friendly competition escalated into intense rivalry. One of the participants evidently lacked a sufficient degree of self-control and sportsmanship. For him, losing the chess game was not merely an unfortunate misunderstanding but a severe blow to his pride.

The victory of his opponent was perceived as a personal insult, triggering an outburst of uncontrollable rage. Instead of accepting defeat gracefully and analyzing his mistakes, the loser chose to unleash his emotions. He grabbed a knife and inflicted six stab wounds on the winner.

The injured man received medical assistance. With the diagnosis of "Multiple penetrating abdominal wounds," he was urgently hospitalized at the Kamensky Hospital for Emergency Medical Assistance.

The police have already begun investigating the incident. The attacker will face charges of causing serious bodily harm, which will result in severe penalties under Ukrainian law.
