Shooting in Kryvyi Rih: Police have apprehended the assailant who shot a man (PHOTO)

On February 2, in one of the streets of the Saksagansky district of Kryvyi Rih, a 38-year-old man shot his 26-year-old opponent with a modified pistol during a conflict and fled the scene, reports "Vydomo" citing the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region.

The victim was hospitalized with a gunshot wound at the city hospital. Meanwhile, law enforcement apprehended the attacker.

During the investigative actions at the suspect's residence, police seized firearms and over 100 cartridges of various calibers.

The starting weapon, showing signs of modification, was sent for expert examination by the police.

On February 3, the detained individual was informed of the suspicion under part 1 of article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — intentional severe bodily harm.

A preliminary investigation is also underway for part 1 of article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — illegal handling of weapons, military supplies, or explosive substances.
