The VAKS has granted the NABU detectives' request to change the preventive measure for the current MP Viktor Bondar – one of the organizers involved in the embezzlement of over 140 million UAH during the procurement of cables for JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia," reports "Vidomo" citing the SAP.
"Considering that the suspect has not paid the 100 million UAH bail set by the court, the prosecution has filed a motion to change the preventive measure from bail to detention with an alternative to bail.
Listening to the arguments of both parties, the court partially granted the request and applied a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 60 days, with an alternative bail of 100 million UAH," the message states.
In accordance with the court's decision, the suspect has been taken into custody in the courtroom.
