An investigation has revealed that the head of the prevention sector at one of the district police departments allegedly demanded a bribe from a woman who had fallen victim to domestic violence. This information was reported by "Vidomo," referencing the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

In a desperate situation, the woman reached out to the police, seeking to hold her abuser accountable. Instead of promptly initiating an investigation into the incidents of domestic violence and bringing the perpetrator to justice, the officer proposed a deal. For a certain sum of money, he promised to assist her in opening a criminal case regarding the violence she suffered.

The investigation possesses irrefutable evidence of the officer's guilt. According to the prosecutor's office, the law enforcement officer received unlawful benefits by promising the citizen assistance in opening a case and fulfilling his official duties.
