Alarm in Kyiv as Russians strike a high-rise building. Here’s what we know about the attack on Ukraine.

On the night of December 22, Russian drones once again attacked Ukraine, prompting air raid alerts in several regions. As a result, debris fell on a house in Brovary, Kyiv Oblast.

According to monitoring Telegram channels, the air raid alert was issued at 00:14. Some time before that, several groups of strike drones were detected flying towards the Zhytomyr region.

"In one of the settlements of the region, debris from a downed enemy target caused a fire on the roof of a 25-story residential building," — reported the head of the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko.

Shortly after, the mayor of Brovary, Ihor Sapozhko, confirmed that a fire on the roof of one of the apartment buildings occurred in Brovary. He added that emergency services arrived promptly, and the fire was quickly contained.

Residents of the building were evacuated. There was no information about any casualties.

At 00:45, the air raid alert in Kyiv was lifted. Then, at 01:33, monitoring channels reported that UAVs were detected in Mykolaiv Oblast, moving southward. Subsequently, at 02:04, a threat of UAV usage for the Zaporizhzhia region was announced. At 03:03, the threat of strike UAVs was lifted.

Later, at 05:04, the Armed Forces of Ukraine detected several groups of strike UAVs moving in the northern part of Sumy Oblast towards Chernihiv.
