Ukrainian veterans Dmitry Rezvoy and Ivan Havryliko are continuing to row from Africa to South America in a four-person boat. The goal of the expedition is to raise awareness about the war in Ukraine and to gather funds for prosthetics for our defenders.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Initially, the Row4Ukraine team included two British members, but captain Lee Spencer decided to halt the mission due to damage to the boat.

The expedition participants were rescued by a search-and-rescue helicopter and taken to Gran Canaria, leaving the boat created by Dmitry Rezvoy in the ocean. However, the Ukrainians did not give up: with the help of friends, they located the boat in the Atlantic, repaired it, and continued their journey together. The veterans are determined to cover over 5,000 km to accomplish their important mission.

Ivan Havryliko, a marine infantryman with the call sign "Geologist," shared that the idea for the expedition had been around for a long time, as he dreamed of crossing the ocean many years ago. During his treatment in France, Dmitry Rezvoy suggested he join the project.

As a reminder, earlier "Telegraph" reported that in Kyiv, a charity run in support of defenders was attended by their "robotic counterpart," which created a sensation. "Telegraph" correspondent Yan Dobronosov prepared a report from the scene.
