On Saturday, December 21, a major professional boxing event took place in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). In the main fight of the evening, the ring featured the world champion in the WBC, WBO, WBA, and IBO heavyweight divisions, Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs), and former champion Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs).
After 12 rounds, all judges unanimously awarded the victory to Usyk—116-112 (three times). This was reported by "Telegraph."
As a reminder, following his victory, Usyk showcased to the audience in Riyadh a genuine saber of hetman Ivan Mazepa, which was specially brought from Ukraine for this bout. On the "Telegraph" website, you can watch the video of the best moments from the Usyk — Fury 2 fight, as well as view the final judges' scorecards.
By the way, in the first fight between Usyk and Fury, which also took place in Riyadh, Oleksandr defeated Fury by split decision. The "Gypsy King" did not acknowledge his defeat at that time either.
It is worth noting that four Ukrainians participated in the boxing evening in Saudi Arabia. Earlier, in a 10-round undercard bout, Ukrainian Andriy Novitsky defended his title in the heavyweight division. Then, Daniel Lapin defeated an unbeaten French fighter, winning a secondary championship belt. Additionally, Ukrainian Serhiy Bohachuk secured a knockout victory over a representative from the United Kingdom.
