In Dnipropetrovsk region, a 19-year-old young man attacked an acquaintance with an axe (PHOTO).

In April, a 32-year-old woman contacted the police in Verhnedniprovsk and reported the disappearance of her 19-year-old nephew, who had not been in touch since the end of July 2023, as reported by "Vydomo" referencing the Main Department of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk Region.

Law enforcement officers from the Kamensky district police conducted measures that led to the discovery of a man's body with signs of violent death on the premises of a private residence in one of the local villages.

After several relevant examinations, the police identified the deceased.

It was revealed that at the end of December 2023, the victim had trespassed onto the property of an acquaintance with whom he had a conflictual relationship.

Upon seeing the uninvited guest, the suspect recalled past insults, approached the man, and struck him on the head with the blunt end of an axe.

In the morning, he dragged the deceased to the garden, where he covered him with construction materials and branches from trees mixed with soil. Subsequently, he attempted to hide the body several more times and tried to burn it in order to conceal the traces of the crime.

The perpetrator was apprehended and notified of suspicion under part 1 of article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional murder.
