Explosions were reported in Kyiv and several regions during the night of January 19. Details of the attack are still emerging.

On the night of January 19, the Russian army launched an attack on Ukraine using Shahed drones — explosions were heard in Kyiv and several regions of the country, and air defense forces were also active.

Kyiv's mayor, Vitali Klitschko, reported the explosions in the city. This occurred at 00:17. He urged residents of Kyiv to stay in shelters.

Prior to this, the Kyiv regional military administration also confirmed the drone attack in the region.

According to data from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian army attacked with drones in Chernihiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, and several other regions of Ukraine.

At 7:17, the Kyiv regional military administration again reported a drone attack in the region. Residents were urged to remain in shelters, not to disregard the "work" of air defense forces, and to follow safety rules.

The population was advised to stay in shelters until the "all clear" of the air raid alarm.

Recall that on January 16, explosions were heard again in central Kyiv as a result of another air attack. Preliminary information indicates that Russia attacked the capital of Ukraine with a dron type "Parody" — a special imitation drone designed to distract air defense systems.
