In Kryvyi Rih, a man secured loans in his deceased mother's name: court ruling.

A resident of Kryvyi Rih took out several consumer loans in the name of his deceased mother, having access to her bank accounts. He faced legal consequences for this, as stated in the verdict of the Dzerzhynskyi Court of Kryvyi Rih, reported by "Vidomo".

According to the case materials, the man knew the login and password for his late mother's "Privat24" application. By replacing the financial mobile device with his own, he gained access to her accounts.

Within a few days, he used the "Privat24" application to take out consumer loans in the name of his deceased mother for:

• a vacuum cleaner;
• two mobile phones;
• a television;
• a refrigerator.

After securing the loans, the man collected the items from an electronics store. His actions caused the bank a financial loss of 29,495 hryvnias.

In court, the resident of Kryvyi Rih fully admitted his guilt and explained that he had used his mother's card while she was alive, not realizing that his actions were illegal.

A bank representative clarified that they were addressing the outstanding debt of the deceased client. They discovered that her credit card was used after her death to obtain consumer loans, prompting the bank to contact the police.

The man was found guilty of large-scale fraud and falsification of information. He received a sentence of 4 years in prison, which was reduced to 2 years of probation.
