The regional emergency center commented on the scandal that occurred at the railway station in Dnipro.

On Tuesday, January 7, a conflict occurred at the train station in Dnipro between a civilian man and representatives of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support. As a result of the incident, a law enforcement officer was injured. The incident was later commented on by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional TCK and SP on their Facebook page, as reported by "Vidomo".

"An emotional video of the conflict, provoked by a citizen who grossly violated military registration rules and inflicted knife wounds on a serviceman and a law enforcement officer, is being circulated on social media and in the media," – the statement reads.

According to TCK representatives, the 45-year-old civilian man reacted to a request for document verification by "resorting to inadequate and aggressive actions," specifically: he snatched the service ID from the serviceman's hands and tore it apart, shouting that he was "not a fool to go" to fight.

"But the man did not stop there and resorted to clearly criminal violent actions. He acquired cold weapons (with which) he inflicted injuries on both the serviceman and the police officer." – stated the TCK.

It was also reported that several elderly women passersby, who did not witness the attack on the serviceman and police officer but saw his arrest, "resorted to aggressive attempts to rescue this individual, which led to a scuffle."

It is noted that one of the women, in an attempt to help the man to his feet, fell with him onto the ice-covered grate of a rain collector.

"As a result of the 'assistance', the 'rescued' man sustained a facial injury, which is visible in the released videos,” – the publication states.

The identity of the offender has been established, and law enforcement agencies are considering the matter regarding criminal proceedings for the attack.

It is reported that the injured serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been provided with qualified medical assistance and is not in life-threatening condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
