On the morning of Wednesday, February 12, a call came into the special line 102 from concerned residents of the Novokodatsky district. They reported discovering an object resembling a grenade on one of the streets. This information was provided by the press service of the Patrol Police of Dnipropetrovsk region, as reported by "Vydomo".

It was noted that the nearest crew arrived at the scene. Inspectors confirmed that the object indeed posed a threat.

A forensic investigative group and bomb disposal experts were on site, successfully neutralizing the object.

The law enforcement officers also reminded everyone of the safety rules when encountering suspicious objects:

- immediately call the emergency line 101 or 102 to report the find;
- alert those nearby and mark or cordon off the discovery area;
- move to a safe distance and wait for the arrival of bomb disposal experts or rescuers.

It is strictly prohibited to:

- use open flames or smoke nearby;
- pick up, move, or strike the object;
- attempt to neutralize the find on your own.

"Remember: neutralizing such objects is the responsibility of specialists only," the law enforcement officers emphasized.
