Unpleasant weather is heading to Ukraine: expect rain, wet snow, and freezing temperatures in various regions (see map).

In the early days of January, Ukraine experienced anomalously warm weather. However, this will soon change.

Data from the "Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center" indicates this. According to meteorologists' forecasts, tomorrow, January 3, the average air temperature in Ukraine will drop significantly — from +5…+7 to 0…+2 degrees. Additionally, during the night of January 3, many regions may even experience slight "negative" temperatures. Rain and wet snow are expected.

Thus, the coldest temperatures will be found in the north and west of Ukraine tomorrow. There, thermometer readings will fall to -1…+1 degrees Celsius during the day. It will be slightly warmer in the east — averaging +4…+7 degrees. The warmest temperatures will be in the south, where the air temperature could reach as high as +10.

Precipitation is forecasted almost everywhere except the south. In the east, there will be light rains, while the north and west will see wet snow.

In Kyiv, temperatures of -1…+1 (during the day and night) with wet snow are expected.

Let us remind you that we previously reported that a cold snap is approaching Ukraine, and the beginning of 2025 will bring anomalously cold weather that will blanket the northwestern part of Europe. This is due to the Greenland cold moving to lower latitudes.
