Snezhana Onopka was among the top five most successful models in the world, and she is Ukrainian. Onopka has walked the runway for the best global brands – Chanel, Gucci, Christian Dior, Versace, Balmain. She rapidly advanced her modeling career but decided to end it at one point. She got married in 2024.

The future model was born in 1986 in Severodonetsk, Luhansk region. She began her modeling career at the Donetsk agency La Mode comme la Vie. She also worked with AL Model Management and DNA Model Management.
Later, Onopka moved abroad, where she posed on the runways of New York, Milan, and Paris. A pivotal moment for the Ukrainian was her encounter with the renowned photographer Steven Meisel. He photographed Snezhana for advertising campaigns for Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, and two covers of Italian Vogue. She became the only Ukrainian model to appear more than once on the cover of this famous magazine. Notably, she transformed into Vogue's editor-in-chief – Anna Wintour.
5 6Onopka also posed for other well-known magazines, such as Numero, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, Elle Ukraine, Glamour, and Vogue for various countries around the world. She participated in shows for prestigious brands: Chanel, Gucci, Anna Sui, Christian Dior, Versace, Balmain, Marc Jacobs, and Isabel Marant.
7 8Throughout her career, Onopka opened the show for Ukrainian designer Natalia Zinko during London Fashion Week. She took part in the Somnia Disaster project, which was dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy.
Additionally, she studied psychology at Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv. Over her professional career, she earned the status of a supermodel.
9 0Onopka was in a long-term relationship with a Moldovan entrepreneur who was 14 years her senior. Their romance ended in 2009. For a short time, Onopka dated businessman and former MP Oleksandr Onyshchenko.
1In 2011, the model got engaged to entrepreneur Mykola Shchur. Their marriage lasted until 2020. Later, Snezhana revealed that the man had been abusive and unfaithful to her.
2At the beginning of the full-scale invasion by Russia, Onopka expressed her deep sorrow for her homeland. She shared that she was having trouble sleeping because she was worried about Ukraine. At that time, she posted the message "Stop war in Ukraine," although she did not explicitly condemn Russia for the war it initiated.
In 2022, the model wrote that she wished "this felt like a dream" and hoped for peaceful skies for everyone. She also noted that she loved her country and was very happy before the war.
A few years ago, Onopka concluded her extensive modeling career by terminating her contract with the agency. She felt unfulfilled in modeling. Recently, Onopka has not been posting photos frequently. Occasionally, she shares images from photoshoots, archival fashion shows, and moments from her life.
3 4 5In July 2024, Snezhana announced that she had married for the second time. She shared photos with her loved one but did not go into detail about his profession. The couple lives in Riga, Latvia.
