Starting from February 1, 2025, ticket prices for international train journeys to Poland and Hungary have increased in Ukraine. This change is due to the reduction in discounts, along with rising costs of energy resources and consumables.

As a reminder, last year, due to the rising costs of consumables and energy resources, the losses from passenger transportation reached 18 billion hryvnias. Previously, to promote international routes, "Ukrzaliznytsia" introduced special discounts. These will now be gradually reviewed.
However, until January 31, 2025, passengers had the opportunity to purchase tickets through the app and on the official website for the specified routes for the following month at the old prices.
Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that another fare increase in "Ukrzaliznytsia" could lead to an economic downturn if the government does not partially cover the costs.
