In Dnipro, a 56-year-old man from another region took a hotel employee hostage. Under the pretense of needing urgent assistance, he lured the hotel worker into his room. After that, the criminal pulled out a knife, held it to the victim's throat, and began threatening to kill him, demanding the panic button. This information was reported by "Vydomo," referencing the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Police officers arrived at the scene. Negotiations with the suspect were conducted cautiously, considering the possibility of explosives, although none were found later.

The victim was freed, and the perpetrator was apprehended and taken to the police station. He faces serious penalties under current Ukrainian law.
