Husband kills wife: law enforcement in Nikopol has announced charges against the attacker (PHOTO)

In the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk region, a 45-year-old man brutally killed his 41-year-old partner. The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of December 28, when at 3:40 AM, a report was received by the emergency service "102" about the discovery of a woman's body showing signs of violent death in a private house in the village. This was reported by "Vідомо," citing the Dnipropetrovsk police.

A investigative operational group promptly arrived at the scene. Preliminary investigations revealed that the murder was triggered by a domestic conflict that arose between the partners the previous evening. According to the investigation, the argument allegedly started due to the man's jealousy. During the conflict, which escalated into a brutal fight, he inflicted multiple bodily injuries on the woman using his fists and feet.

The force of the blows was so severe that the woman died at the scene from her injuries. A medical examination of the body confirmed numerous rib fractures, a traumatic brain injury, and other injuries incompatible with life.

The detained individual did not deny his involvement in the murder. He was charged under part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – "Intentional grievous bodily harm resulting in the victim's death." This article prescribes a punishment of imprisonment for a term of seven to ten years.

On December 30, the court chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention, which eliminates the possibility of evading investigation and trial.
