In February, meteorologists predict that severe frosts will hit Ukraine. In Kyiv, a significant drop in air temperature is also expected throughout the month, both during the day and at night.

However, some websites report that thermometer readings in the capital may plunge to -18 °C in February, while others offer more favorable forecasts. "Telegraf" has gathered all the current information about the weather in Kyiv for February.

According to meteorologist Igor Kibalchich, a young anticyclone will form over the Scandinavian Peninsula in the coming days, facilitating the spread of cold air masses to more southern latitudes.

As a result of this process, our country will be influenced by colder air and northwestern winds, causing temperatures to gradually decrease by 3 – 6 °C.

In Kyiv, according to the site Accuweather, relatively comfortable weather with almost no precipitation is expected throughout the month. Only on February 23, rain is possible, and on the 26th, snow.

Experts from the resource predict temperatures ranging from -1 to +5 °C during the day and -1 to -7 °C at night.

However, the data from the site Meteo.ua is less optimistic — here, frosts of up to -18 °C during the day are forecasted for February in Kyiv. Additionally, it may snow for weeks.

The analysts from the resource suggest that the weather in February will be very cold, with negative air temperatures observed daily.
