Pensioners can receive increased payments through supplements on a monthly basis. Some of them are counting on a 20% supplement to their payments.
This additional payment is designated for elderly individuals officially residing in mountainous areas of Ukraine. Additionally, it is also available to internally displaced persons who have chosen to live in such regions, as reported by "On Pension."
According to the law "On the Status of Mountainous Settlements in Ukraine," this supplement was established back in 1995 due to the challenging living conditions, particularly the underdeveloped employment sector, limited transportation access, and inadequate social and household services.
To qualify for the supplement, pensioners must reside (officially) in a mountainous settlement, obtain the status of a resident of a mountainous area, and receive the corresponding certificate. Applicants should contact local authorities, a village or city council, or the Center for Administrative Service Provision (CAPS).
The payment is applicable in the Lviv region, specifically in the settlements of Drohobych, Stryi, and Sambir districts.
We remind you that earlier "Telegraf" reported that for some pensioners, the payment may increase up to 1500 hryvnias.
