The founder of the clothing brand Mango, Isak Andic, died while vacationing in the mountains. He was one of the wealthiest individuals in Spain.
This was reported by El Pais citing sources from the police, and later confirmed by representatives of Mango. It is noted that the 71-year-old man fell from a height of over 100 meters and died at the scene due to his injuries.
The incident occurred near the Salnitre caves in the Montserrat mountain range (Barcelona). It is known that the millionaire enjoyed hiking and maintained good physical fitness at his age.
He was on an outing with his son, who reported the incident to the police. A rescue helicopter was dispatched to the scene, but unfortunately, they were unable to save the billionaire.
Andic was the owner of Mango, as well as the richest person in Catalonia and one of the wealthiest individuals in Spain, with assets estimated at 4.5 billion euros. His stores operate in nearly every corner of the globe, including Ukraine.
"Isak was an example for all of us. He dedicated his life to the Mango project, leaving an indelible mark through his strategic vision, inspiring leadership, and unwavering commitment to the values he instilled in our company," said the company's CEO, Toni Ruiz.
