The United States has finally responded to Russia's recent actions with a "clear message." In reaction to North Korean soldiers in Russia and yet another massive missile strike on Ukraine on November 17, Washington has authorized Ukraine to strike Russian territory using ATACMS missiles.
This was reported by the Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski on his Twitter (X). He emphasized that "strength deters, weakness provokes."
"In response to the entry of North Korean soldiers into the war and the massive missile strikes by Russia, President Biden has replied in a language that V. Putin understands: by lifting restrictions on Ukraine’s use of Western missiles. A victim of aggression has the right to defend itself. Strength deters, weakness provokes," the Polish minister noted.
It is worth recalling that on Sunday, November 17, it became known that the sitting U.S. President Joseph Biden had, for the first time in his remaining two months in office, allowed Ukrainian forces to use ATACMS against Russian territory, but only in the Kursk region.
Additionally, "Telegraph" reported that not only ATACMS will be flying towards Russia. Two more countries have followed Biden's example.
It should be noted that on the night and morning of November 17, Russians attacked Ukraine using 120 missiles and 90 drones. This resulted in damage to energy infrastructure facilities. Most likely, this attack was the reason for granting the necessary permissions to Ukraine.
