Trump's son found a way to link Ukraine to the wildfires in California.

The episode focused on the transfer of surplus equipment in 2022.
Сын Трампа нашел способ связать Украину с лесными пожарами в Калифорнии.

In the American state of California, wildfires are raging, with flames creeping close to Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the son of elected president Donald Trump has already linked this situation to Ukraine.

Donald Trump Jr. wrote about this on the social media platform X, owned by billionaire Elon Musk. Musk himself also shared this post.

The topic was initially raised by former investment banker John LeFevre, who recalled that the Los Angeles Fire Department had donated surplus equipment to Ukraine. He attached two screenshots of news articles from March 18, 2022, after which Trump Jr. reposted the message.

"Oh, of course, the Los Angeles Fire Department donated some of its supplies to Ukraine," he wrote.

Elon Musk decided to join in and also reposted the message.

Some users online pointed out that such statements seem absurd.

Others reminded that local authorities had cut funding for the fire department by more than $17.5 million just before the wildfires started. However, most began expressing outrage over such "notable extravagance."

There is no accurate information available online regarding the specifics of what was included in the donation. However, photos from events show that it consisted of one truck.

Reports indicated that the package included protective suits, firefighting boots, hoses and attachments, as well as medical supplies.

As is known, Trump Jr. has long been famous for his scathing remarks towards Ukraine and its leadership. For instance, last December, he released a mocking video showing his father kicking Vladimir Zelensky off the cover of Time magazine.
