On Tuesday, February 18, the air quality in Dnipro significantly deteriorated. The indicators fell to a level categorized as "unhealthy" air.
This information is reported by a correspondent for "Telegraf". The relevant data is confirmed by the environmental bot SaveEcoBot, which monitors air quality worldwide.
The map indicates that in certain areas of the city, the readings reach 165, which on the air quality index scale indicates a "red" level, meaning "unhealthy" air.
Furthermore, according to AccuWeather, on this day the air in Dnipro is classified as "very unhealthy," reaching a level of 202 on the quality scale. Citizens are advised to stay indoors and keep all windows and doors closed.
Recall that earlier, "Telegraf" reported that on February 13, the air quality level in Kyiv was exceeded sevenfold. It has been noted that the city is experiencing a significant decline in air quality due to increased concentrations of suspended particles, particularly dust. The cause of this phenomenon is low wind conditions and elevated atmospheric pressure, which hinder the dispersion of harmful impurities.
