The former governor of Dnipropetrovsk region has been informed of suspicion in a case involving the procurement of cables for "Ukrzaliznytsia."

A sitting member of parliament is suspected of embezzling 140 million UAH.
Экс-губернатору Днепропетровской области предъявили подозрение в деле о закупке кабелей для "Укрзализныци".

NABU and SAP have announced suspicion against the current member of the Ukrainian parliament, former head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Viktor Bondar, according to "Vydomo" citing NABU.

He was presented with suspicion as the "co-leader of an organized group, uncovered for seizing funds from JSC 'Ukrzaliznytsia' during the procurement of cable and wire products."

It is noted that Bondar and his accomplice, an entrepreneur, devised a scheme that involved supplying products to JSC 'Ukrzaliznytsia' at inflated prices. They colluded with members of an organized group, which functioned as a sort of "back office" for the company, informally controlling its activities and ensuring that "necessary" companies won tenders at "UZ" for a certain percentage of the purchase amount.

Between 2021 and 2022, "Ukrzaliznytsia" signed contracts with companies controlled by the entrepreneur, which supplied products at prices above market levels.

As a result of this scheme, "Ukrzaliznytsia" incurred losses amounting to over 140 million UAH.

It should be noted that from September 2007 to February 2010, he headed the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration.
