There is ample evidence: the prosecutor commented on the detention of the suspect involved in the terrorist attack in Dnipro.

On December 16, 2024, a court hearing took place in the Krasnogvardeysky District Court of Dnipro regarding the case of Ruben Voskanian, who is accused of committing a terrorist act on December 14. Voskanian is charged with detonating an improvised explosive device near an administrative building in Dnipro. Alexander Fil, a prosecutor from the Dnipropetrovsk regional prosecutor's office, commented on the progress of the investigation. This was reported by "Vydomo".

Alexander Fil emphasized that despite the brief time since the crime was committed (only two days), the investigation has already gathered enough evidence to substantiate reasonable suspicion.

A key piece of evidence is a video recording that captures the moment the accused planted the explosive device. Fil noted that Voskanian does not deny being present at the crime scene and placing the explosives.

Furthermore, during a search, physical evidence was seized from Voskanian, which, according to the prosecutor, clearly indicates his involvement in the terrorist act. The nature of this evidence was not disclosed to maintain the confidentiality of the investigation; however, based on the prosecutor's statements, it is of significant importance to the case.

"At this moment, there is more than enough evidence for reasonable suspicion. Only two days have passed since the commission of this crime. Therefore, considering this short timeframe, I believe the investigation has already gathered more than sufficient evidence... Regarding his position, given the severity of the charge and the profile of the individual, who is already facing criminal charges in another court for particularly serious crimes, I consider this to be nothing more than a defensive stance, and of course, this version will also be verified, and additional evidence will be obtained, as the pre-trial investigation continues," the prosecutor stated.

Voskanian, as the prosecutor claims, admitted to committing the terrorist act for a reward. However, he did not provide the investigation with specific information regarding the amount received or the identity of the person who ordered it.

"Currently, he (the accused - ed.) is not providing clear statements regarding the amount of the reward, but he absolutely does not deny, and in court, he did not deny that he did it specifically for the reward," noted Alexander Fil.

Prosecutor Fil views this position as a defensive tactic. Considering the severity of the charges and the fact that Voskanian, according to the prosecutor, has already been prosecuted for particularly serious crimes, the investigation will thoroughly examine all existing versions.

Earlier, we reported that on the previous Saturday, December 14, an explosion occurred in the city of Dnipro in the area of Stepan Bandera Street. According to preliminary data, a car exploded, and there are casualties. The moment of the explosion was captured on surveillance cameras. The police reported one deceased and several injured, including police officers.

By the evening of the same day, it became known that specialists from the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police managed to detain a person involved in the terrorist act in Dnipro.

Today, the court issued a 60-day detention order for the suspect in the terrorist act in Dnipro.
