The GBR has submitted the case of MP Tishchenko to court regarding the scandal in Dnipro.

MP Tishchenko is to be tried for the unlawful deprivation of a person's freedom.

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigations have completed their inquiry into the criminal case involving people's deputy Mykola Tyshchenko for the unlawful deprivation of liberty of a combat participant in Dnipro in June 2024. The case has been referred to court. This was reported by the press service of the SBI, as well as the Office of the Prosecutor General, according to "Vidomo".

On December 17, the SBI workers finalized the investigation into the criminal proceedings concerning the current people's deputy of Ukraine regarding the unlawful deprivation of liberty of a combat participant in Dnipro.

"The indictment has been sent to court," – informs the SBI.

The law enforcement officials do not specify who is involved, but according to the case details, it is Mykola Tyshchenko.

Tyshchenko is currently under precautionary measures in the form of round-the-clock house arrest with an electronic tracking bracelet.

The deputy is suspected of unlawfully depriving a person of liberty, committed by a group of individuals in premeditated conspiracy, which was accompanied by causing physical suffering to the victim (part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The penalty for this article provides for imprisonment for up to five years.

"As for one individual involved in the unlawful actions, a court decision has already been made, while for the other, the indictment is under consideration in court," – the OGP message notes.
