A man was detained by patrol officers in Kryvyi Rih while walking with a bag of ammunition. (PHOTO)

On January 22, residents of the Pokrovsky district in Kryvyi Rih noticed a suspicious man and called the police, reports "Vidomo" citing the Patrol Police of Kryvyi Rih.

When the patrol officers arrived at the call location, they did not find any suspicious individuals. However, while inspecting a certain area, the inspectors spotted a man matching the description.

The police stopped the 46-year-old local man and during a superficial check found 161 cartridges and two magazines for a machine gun in his possession.

A forensic investigative team was called to the scene, and they will now determine the origin of the man's ammunition.
