In Kryvyi Rih, 24 members of two rival criminal groups specializing in the distribution of methamphetamine have been arrested. These groups attempted to monopolize the methamphetamine market in the city, seeking to fill the void left after the dismantling of a major drug syndicate known as the "20s." This was reported by "Vydomo," citing the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

According to preliminary estimates from the investigation, their monthly income reached an impressive 9 million hryvnias. The arrests were the result of a two-stage operation. Notably, both groups seemingly copied the sales methods previously used by the now-dismantled syndicate.

In particular, the distribution of methamphetamine was carried out using cocktail straws, which ensured quick and discreet delivery of the drug to consumers. This tactic evidently proved effective and was adopted by the new market players. The investigation suggests that the use of such "packaging" was part of a strategy to minimize risks and enhance the speed of product turnover.

There may be other reasons that will need to be clarified during the ongoing investigation. During the searches conducted as part of the special operation, significant quantities of methamphetamine and other physical evidence confirming the detainees' involvement in criminal activities were seized.

The total value of the seized drugs and other property, presumably acquired with funds from drug trafficking, is estimated at nearly 10 million hryvnias.
