On January 15, in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Dnipro, a man committed two robberies within half an hour at stores located on European Boulevard and Dmytro Yavornytskyi Avenue, as reported by "Vідомо" referencing the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
The thief turned out to be a 28-year-old local resident who took items from the shelves, concealed them under his outer clothing, and attempted to leave the premises unnoticed. However, he was thwarted each time by anti-theft gates at the exit.
Store employees tried to pursue the man, but he managed to escape.
Police apprehended the suspect and confiscated the stolen goods from him.
Investigators informed the detained individual of the charges under part 4 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — robbery. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
