In Kryvyi Rih, two friends had a falling out over jealousy, with a girl being the trivial cause of the dispute. This was reported by "Vydomo" citing the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
It all began when one local resident visited his friends. At the door, he was greeted by the hostess, but her outfit was quite revealing — she was dressed only in lingerie. This unexpected sight certainly caught the guest's attention, but soon the situation escalated when the girl's partner appeared in the doorway.
Seeing his partner in such a situation, he immediately suspected something was wrong and, instead of confronting her, decided to unleash his aggression on his friend. This led to a verbal spat that quickly turned into a real fight.
The men started exchanging blows in the yard, near piles of construction materials, which added to the chaos in an already tense atmosphere. The fight escalated so intensely that soon one of the participants (the hostess's boyfriend) took on the role of the attacker. He violently beat his opponent, resulting in serious injuries, including a torn left lung and broken ribs.
These injuries required prolonged treatment and a recovery period. After recovering, the victim enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the time the victim was regaining his health, a criminal case was initiated against the jealous man for causing serious bodily harm through negligence.
During the investigation, it was revealed that this accused individual had a history of criminal charges — since 2014, he had been convicted of various crimes, including theft, assault, and fraud, which painted a negative picture of his character.
On December 11, 2024, the Dzerzhinsky District Court of Kryvyi Rih made another ruling in the case of the attacker. He was found guilty of committing a criminal offense under Article 128 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and was sentenced to one year of restriction of liberty, with a probation period for the same duration.
As for the victim, while on the front lines, he filed a lawsuit stating that he had no claims against his assailant and expressed his desire not to participate in the court hearings or file any claims.
