A 24-year-old resident of Zaporizhzhia set up a weapons workshop where he processed illegal firearms for the purpose of resale. This was reported by "Vідомо," referencing the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

The man posted an advertisement online offering Kalashnikov rifles for 35,000 hryvnias each. After making arrangements with potential clients and receiving funds into his bank account, he would either ship the goods via mail or leave the weapons at an agreed location, sending the geolocation to buyers.

Law enforcement officers from the Dnipropetrovsk Criminal Police, with support from special forces from Zaporizhzhia, apprehended the suspect at his residence in Zaporizhzhia. During the searches, police discovered an underground workshop equipped with machinery and tools for processing firearms. They also seized a machine gun, a Browning pistol, and various components of firearms, along with other physical evidence.

On January 16, investigators informed the suspect of his indictment under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition, or explosives).
